Features

Version 3.3 of OrganAssist

The new features of 3.3 are documented in the Release Notes – Click Here

Recording

Automatically record multiple tracks with no action at the computer.  OrganAssist automatically starts and stops and saves each piece as a separate track.  Uniquely, for a MIDI sequencer, OrganAssist constantly identifies which stops are on and then includes this information at the start of each new track, every time you start playing.

Editing

Use the simple “piano roll” style interface to edit tracks with no need for knowledge of MIDI
OrganAssist enables you to:

Highlight parts of the score.
Add, move, copy, amend and delete notes
Move or swap selected notes between keyboards
You can Add, Edit, Move and delete individual registration changes
Add and Remove expression movements
Record additional Notes, Expression and Registration changes during playback
Copy, paste, insert and delete sections of the track
Mute or Solo specific parts for easier sequencing
Skip or Repeat sections using the Verse feature in Playlist
Multi-level Edit Undo

MIDI File Conversion

Version 3.2 has powerful tools to help import existing MIDI files from other sources.Editing

For each file you can select which MIDI channel is routed to which keyboard.  The Import Settings screen gives information about the contents of the file to help you choose.

OrganAssist contains additional logic so you can import MuseScore files in the same way, choosing the destination keyboard for each stave.  Just tick the MuseScore checkbox when you select the MIDI file.

You can also use OrganAssist to automatically split long MIDI files into individual pieces and then immediately create new MIDI files for each piece.  Refer to the User Manual for details.

Translation

OrganAssist will automatically translate MIDI so you can play back any recording on any other supported organ. No knowledge of MIDI is required.

You can import existing MIDI recordings for editing and playback on different organs.

OrganAssist has been designed from the ground up to allow full portability of recorded music across all instruments. To achieve this OrganAssist contains a “Virtual Organ” that is capable of generating MIDI data in real time. To translate stop changes, OrganAssist contains a “Virtual Organist” which attempts to re-create the original performance using the stops available on the current organ.

You can even translate MIDI in real time by loading 2 different organs.

Hauptwerk

OrganAssist allows you to easily create an overlay to create a custom layout for a Hauptwerk instrument.  This includes the ability to create dual screen layouts and include Hauptwerk Master Couplers and Combinations seamlessly in a single view.
